Who we are

ArticlePilot (final legal entity name to be confirmed before public launch) operates articlepilot.net, an SEO content platform. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, ArticlePilot is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].

What we collect

  • Account information - your email address, name (if provided), and authentication details when you create an account or join our waitlist.
  • Site information - the domains you connect and the configuration you set for them.
  • Content - keywords, briefs, drafts, and articles you create or generate within the platform.
  • Google Search Console data - if you choose to connect Google Search Console via Google OAuth, we access search performance data (queries, impressions, clicks, positions) for the sites you authorise.
  • Technical data - standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) kept for security and reliability.

Google API Limited Use disclosure

ArticlePilot's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: Google Search Console data is used only to provide you with your own reporting, monitoring, and content-refresh features for the sites you have connected. It is never fed into large-language-model prompts, never aggregated across customers, never used for advertising, and never sold or transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide these features to you, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you. Humans do not read this data except with your explicit permission (for example, a support request), for security purposes, or to comply with the law. Disconnecting Google Search Console revokes our access, and we delete the associated tokens and cached data.

How we use your data

We use your data to operate the service you signed up for: keyword research and recommendations, article drafting and approval workflows, publishing to your connected sites, and reporting on your own performance. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your content or your Search Console data to train models.

Subprocessors

We share the minimum data necessary with these service providers to operate ArticlePilot:

  • Anthropic - AI model provider used to draft and edit article content you request.
  • DataForSEO - search results and keyword data provider used for research features.
  • Serper - search results API used for research features.
  • Hosting provider - our servers, where your account data and content are stored.
  • Stripe (coming) - payment processing when paid plans launch; card details will be handled by Stripe, never stored by us.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]; we will complete deletion within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain specific records. Waitlist emails are deleted on request or when the waitlist is retired.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). To exercise any of these rights, contact [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the product evolves - including confirming the legal entity name before public launch - and will note material changes on this page.
